I think the book, written by that famous
writer Maya Angelou, was one of those books that makes you sit down and reflect
about society and the problems with it. In this case the mayor issue was
segregation and it affects lots of innocent people that have never done
something wrong in their life’s. In this case it affects a little and innocent
girl called Maya. Maya knows a lot of people, most of them are black skinned,
and all of them are affected by discrimination, despite the fact of being good
and hard-working people. The most relevant fact of that book is that it shows
the developing process of Negro girl among a hostile society. It combines
humour (normal in little kids) with the crude reality in which people like Maya
used to live. As a conclusion for this short text, I would like to say that
this was a good book because it showed the theme of segregation from a
different point of view (a little girl’s one) and it combined it well with
humour.
Some good work here, Marco, but this is quite basic. You have identified the key theme, which is very good, and also the author's use of devices such as humour and its success as a tool for delivering the story to the audience. This is all good work.

Good start.
